These products consist of a steel substrate on which a continuous hot dip zinc coating is applied by continuous hot dipping. The percentage of zinc in the coating is more than 99%.
The main feature of these products lies in their remarkable resistance to corrosion, offered by the zinc according to the thickness of the coating; The hot dip allows a wide range of zinc thicknesses to be achieved, even very high, up to 600 g/m2 overall on both sides:

They can be supplied with special coating finishing requirements, surface quality and surface protection.
There are two types of finish for the coating:

he size and appearance, as well as its brilliance, do not affect the quality of the coating; however, if a particular requirement of size or surface gloss is required, it is absolutely necessary to specify it when ordering.
The surface appearance can be of type A, B or C; unless otherwise requested at the time of order, the material is supplied with appearance A.
PLANT AND STRIPS SIZE SUPPLY LIMITS
There are limitations (also with regard to weight) depending on the grades and thickness and width combinations.
PLANT AND SIZE LIMITS FOR THE SUPPLY OF SHEETS AND STRIPS
Various types of surface protection are possible and must be indicated when ordering.
SURFACE PROTECTION
Whatever the type of protection, it is very important that the galvanized materials avoid contact with moisture or water as much as possible during transport and storage and are kept in a dry environment.
These steels are available in a various range of characteristics, from commercial grades (DX51D) to deep drawing grades (DX54D and DX56D), from construction products (S250GD) to advanced high strength (HX340LAD), as well as special and innovative products (such as dual phase steels).
